Been gone the last week for work. Came home and two of the peahens were sitting in a nest side by side. Came back later and only one was in the nest. The same one that has been sitting faithfully for two weeks now. Can two hens sit side by side and be ok. It seems like the one keeps taking the others eggs. She is sitting on 12-15 now. Anyone have this before?
Their nesting box is a plastic 55 gallon barrell drum bottom full of hay.

Yes happens alot with peahens.....need to watch ,when they hatch, older eggs hatch first ,and sometime both will leave with the chicks, so remove unhatch and incubate ,them you can put those later hatch chicks with the mothers
