Does it make any difference what color the inside of the nesting box is? The last time I made a nesting box I painted the inside battleship gray because that's what I had left over from painting my porch. Right now I don't have any leftover paint I want to use for this. (Lots of paint, most of it is interior flat off-white latex. Not what I want here.) I know chickens will use almost anything for a nesting box and I'm sure they'll use this one, no matter what I do with it. Can you give me a reason to pick something specific? It seems like dark might be better than light but I'm just guessing. Any thoughts?
