Nesting box design- so far, so good!

Hey y’all, I’ve been waiting and waiting to see how my roll away nest box would work. Glad to say that I have been pleasantly surprised by how well it’s working! My girls started laying a few weeks ago. I’m now getting about 3 eggs per day, great.
The biggest issue with my old coop and flock was poop on my eggs! It was gross and frustrating. Since I built the new setup I haven’t had even one egg get dumped on! 14 degrees seems to be the answer for my flock!

Yep, they seem to like it.

Did you glue it down or just cut a snug fit?
My girls scratch so hard they kick out all their nesting material!

I just laid it in tight. I’ve heard them scratching in there, but haven’t had any issues yet. I wanted to be able to clean it if necessary.

It was easy to build, very worth it the effort. I built it because all the ones I saw for sale were designed such that you had to enter the coop to get the eggs. 14 degree slope,
