Nesting box design

This is our nesting box, we are worried about the girls pooping in the nests because there is a bit of a ledge in the front. Thoughts, comments,ideas?

If they are anything like our birds ledge or not Poop will happen

I would paint it, so the wood is easier to clean..and then just make sure that the ledge is LOWER than their perches, and then they shouldn't be tempted to perch on it.

They will poo while in the nest. Not lots, but some. *sigh*

Thank you all! We are still working on our design, we have a few weeks before laying begins, so we are trying to get our design as flawless as possible.
