I have read alot of posts about nesting boxes and I too was struggling with what to you for I cannot hammer a nail straight so I am very contructionally challenged. But I do do alot of gardening and frequent the local nursaries. I started putting up plastic pots. For those who garden either #10 or #15 size pots. I believe that is equivelent to a 10 and 15 gallon pot. I use the rim of the pot to secure to the wall with a couple of drywall screws, cut about half of the bottom out to provide the enclosed space the girls usually require. We have our own straw and I fill it up with that. Easy to clean and durable. Definately can hold their weight and only problem I have is they all favor seem to favor one or two pots and I get broken eggs.
