Nesting box ideas for my Buff Orpingtons and I Live in Arizona

I live in the west valley and I dont know what to do about nesting boxes. Because of the heat I dont want to close the girls off in a coop/nesting box. Any ideas please. Thanks You Or should i just spread out straw or something outside the coop. Its all enclosed area.

What about using milk crates? They are stackable and all the holes would make for good ventilation. Just put some straw in there for bedding.
