nesting box location

I'm sure the answer to this question is already posted somewhere but I couldn't find one so I'm asking now. We need to hang our nesting boxes. Should they go on a certain wall of the coop- north, south, east or west wall? Thanks.

Not really. I'd just say put them where the morning sun won't shine directly into them and not under the roosts or too high on the wall.

Mine like to lay thier eggs,in the darkest,and lowest traffic area in the very corner of the barn.

I have nesting boxes on the east, south, and north walls in my coop, and they use all the different nesting boxes. I have noticed they do prefer the one's on the south and east walls better than the north wall. Good luck.
