None at all. I have ten hens and they all tend to use the middle crate so far.Do you have any issues with hens sleeping in the nesting crates?

Is she laying anywhere? Or just not laying yet..I added a milk crate a couple weeks ago and she still has no interest in it
She’s not laying yet, at least not that I know of. Shes around 18-19ish weeks old, her comb and waddles are large and red but no signs of squatting or interest in the nesting boxIs she laying anywhere? Or just not laying yet..
I use milk crates too, but turn mine and added an edge. I use straw and shredded paper
This is my issue! I have tried milk crates, stackable cubbies, even roasting pans… they all lay in the same hole RIGHT BESIDE the nesting boxes. I gave up.Or just dig a hole in the dirt. That seems to be their favorite![]()
I don't mind when they lay in the dirt. As long as I can reach the eggs we're all goodThis is my issue! I have tried milk crates, stackable cubbies, even roasting pans… they all lay in the same hole RIGHT BESIDE the nesting boxes. I gave up.
I’m so glad I’m not alone!! I felt so bad but holy moly… I just had to quit spending the money.I don't mind when they lay in the dirt. As long as I can reach the eggs we're all good
