Nesting box

Hello BYC!

I just built my chicken coop and I realized I do t have any spot for a nesting box. When I built it I just assumed they would lay where they sleep. Do any of you chicken owners have some ideas on how I can add a nesting box? Here is my coop. Can I just build a stand alone one and leave it in the run?

unless they will have access to the run at all times I would not keep it in the run. they will often lay early in the morning, and if they are locked in the coop they will not have a proper place to lay.

They do have access to the run at all times, they will re roam the yard during the day but I won't let them out until probably around 8am

Ok, then a nesting box in the run might work just as well
