Nesting Boxes

How do you get your new to laying hens to use the nesting boxes? They’re clean and there are 5 for my 8 hens. I even have some fake eggs in them. Advice please!

I would put fake eggs int he nesting boxes, but if they still aren't using them, then make the areas that you are finding eggs uncomfortable to lay in, like maybe put rocks or sticks there. Also, if you know what time you ladies usually lay, then you can put them in the nesting boxes in the morning when they usually lay and see if they will take interest in the fake eggs there. good luck, Avery
