Nesting Boxes

I'm going to be working on building my coop this weekend. How many nesting boxes do you recommend for 5 chickens.

May I invite you to look at the nest boxes I made. After I made 6 for only 8 hens (and I was going to make 2 more) I found they are not teretorial and can share with 2 or three other hens. I also wished I had made two boxes with dividers so I wouldn't have to open so many hatches to raid for eggs.

For 5 chickens, one should be fine.. Two if you wish.. Or just go with a double wide community box at 24" wide with no divider.
