Nesting Boxes????

What do you people use in your nesting boxes i tried hay but they just pulled it out onto the floor what should i try next?????

You have 4 of the same posts out there, sometimes it just takes time and patience for people to get back to you. I use pine shavings and screw a lip over the front of the nest to keep the bedding from getting knocked out

I use pine shavings in the coop and in the nest box. I like the shavings, they seem to be more absorbant and easier to clean up.

yea i noticed that my computer s messed up so i dunno how that happened

I use pine shavings, my girls just pushed hay to the sides and layed on bare wood when I used it.

I use hay and lots of it. Stuffed down so tight in the box the hens would need a forklift to get it out.
