nesting boxes

I have one coop and it has 3 nesting boxes.The thing with these boxes is that I have to go inside to get my eggs which is really no big deal.

I am in the process of building another coop beside it and I am wanting to put tops that can be opened from the outside.I'm looking for ideas on how I can hinge it on the top and make it waterproof.I have a few ideas but not real comfortable with them.Thanks

Thank you.I checked out that web site and I like that idea.After looking at that I feel that this idea is more suitable
