I have 6 pullets and wondered how many nesting boxes I should have. I have an old 3' long x 11-1/2 deep cabinet that I made a two hole nesting box out of. Would this be enough for the hens when they start laying?

Yes. You will see they tend to lay in cluster. So two nest is enough for 6 pullets. Since your box is 3 feet, you could build 3 nets.

Two would be plenty and they'll probably fight over wanting to use just one of them. My girls are big so I like to be generous with nesting box size. You could make two large nesting boxes that would accommodate most any girl - even if they have big hips! ;-)
