I am in the process of building a coupe in my bank barn. I have twenty young chickens in my laundry room. My breeds range in rarity and size. (The largest being my Jersey Giants). I am looking at Kuhl galvanized nesting boxes. I'm not sure how many holes I should get for my hens and, I'm thinking I should get at least two of the big bird boxes to accommodate my larger hens. Does anyone have any suggestions? Would it be better to purchase all big bird nests or should I buy two separate units? (Standard and big bird size)

! Great to have you here! I think 4 or 5 boxes for 20 hens would suffice. Good luck to you!

I would get all big bird size, they have an easier time getting in and out if the nests are a little large than the standard size. Just my opinion.
