nesting duck

I have a duck that is nesting on her eggs and she hasn't moved for at least 2 weeks, when she 1st made her nest she was getting off to eat and drink and now she leaves for nothing!! I think she maybe a bit lathargic?? I tried to put a water dish close to her today but she snapped at my hand is this normal for a duck to never leave for food or water?

They can get pretty intense!!

She may be sneaking off the nest when you are not watching. Making sure that she has access to fresh water and food, and that she is safe, and the nest area will not overheat are probably the best things you can do.

she isn't in the coolest spot some days have already hit over 100 degrees sometimes it looks as though she is panting I really don't think she is sneaking off because of the way she looks kind of dazed
