My dad had chickens way back when he had to walk up hill both ways to school in 20 ft of snow... I know that putting out nesting eggs for young hens who will lay soon will entice them to START laying eggs. BUT my dad maintains that if I put nesting eggs in for my hens who are already laying that they will lay MORE eggs. Has anyone ever tried this? I don't have any nesting eggs at the moment but will consider getting some if this turns out to be true...
