I use straw in he boxes and pine shavings in the main house, its easier to weed out the poop!

Cedar isn't good for your birds, the oils that make it smell good are also bad for your chicken's health.

I use cedar bedding in mine. it absorbs the smell alot better then straw. I used straw before but it always seemed to get moldy very fast. I switched to cedar and have been using it for months now. and its cheaper.
