nests

im looking for some nests for my qial i wnt to try and get the hens to brood what is the best material fir their nests?

Quail don't go broody all that often, so don't hold your breath. LOL Grass hay works well, even wood shavings, shredded paper, anything they can work into the nest shape. They enjoy laying their eggs in hidey spaces, so provide something they can sneak into....over turned flower pots with a mouse hole cut in the bottom work well.

there kinda tan colored some have ruffed grouse like markings..

Yea, i think that's coturnix so they probably won't go broody
