Same goes for my wife.

My daughter and I had started watching this before the hurricane took out the Internet.

The frozen chicken at the beginning had us all but peeing on ourselves laughing!

What was so funny is those legs "sticking straight up", and her trying to fit it into that box, the KLUNK! onto the table. Her acting was priceless.

As for that guy that crows and does the chicken dances...I think he was kind of cool. My daughter was laughing her butt off and pointing at me. I haven't a clue why.

That woman in Florida I think is a bit touched...the chicken didn't look nearly as amused as she made him out to be. I would've considered that Chicken Hell On Earth!

To be candid, I thought the movie was a total waste of my time. I learned absolutely nothing from it. I've learned a lot on this forum, just about everything I know about chickens. I was hoping that this movie was going to be one that would instruct the general public about the necessity of good care that chickens need and deserve, instead it was all mushy nonsense that would not induce others to feel they knew enough about how to care for a chicken(s) that they might want to get.

Even though I enjoyed it I do agree with you about it not being very educational. As
a chicken fanatic I thought it was entertaining. The title is not accurate. There is
nothing in there about the natural history of the chicken. I'd love to see a good
documentary on the history of the chicken starting from the jungle fowl, original breeds,
the chicken's influence on and use by humanity, etc.. A PETA type segment would not
be welcome but a few minutes dedicated to showing true current factory farming
techniques would be. It could conclude with a few brief stories of people keeping
backyard flocks and the positives of those flocks, including people who raise heritage
or exotic breeds.

I could have done without the woman who treats her silkie roo like a little "poop" dog.
That kind of stuff just makes non chicken people stereotype people who have chickens
as pets more so than they already do.

Me, too. I agree, there are already enough people who look down their noses at people who treat their chickens more like pets than food where we don't need a um...(is "nut" too strong a word here?")...person who goes off the deep end pampering her bird like a lap dog to make us all look bad. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that -- I know some of us on here have pet chickens we love dearly and treat like royalty, but I'm pretty sure they don't have their own carseat and take dips in the swimming pool.

I am struggling through this right now. The only reason I am still watching it is because it is about chickens, kind of. The program is more about people.

Chicken CPR on a frozen chicken.
