Netflix opinion

We've used netflix since it began. Never had a problem. Each family member has their own queue. Streaming used to just have older movies, but it's improved tremendously. We just got the free disc to stream through the wii, it works perfectly.

One of the reasons that we went with Netflix is because we have eclectic tastes, and what we want to watch isn't generally carried by the local Blockbuster types of rental stores. There is an amazing selection available through Netflix.

I got a tv at christmas that was netflix compatible.... works great for instant down load. We have the basic plan and it takes 2/3 days to get the disks, but there's lots in instant que to choose from. Lots of older and odd titled movies - great for a laugh or two...

We've had Netflix for two years and love it. We also have TiVo for recording OTA shows that the DW likes to watch. I even have a small program on my Blackberry so that I can add programs to record if I'm away.I don't watch much tv myself but do watch a movie a few times a week. The TiVo even supports the streaming movies from Netflix, so no extra receiver is needed for it. Both the Netflix and the Tivo are about $27.00 total monthly and well worth it to us. We used to pay about $100.00 monthly for satellite with about 300 channels and nothing was ever on worth watching.

That site has no movie files on it. It just links to sites that do. Those sites are shutdown all the time.
As for streaming not being downloading, yes it is. For you to see in on your screen your computer has to download it. At that point you have crossed the legal line. What happens to the file after that point has very little to do with anything. If there was a loophole for streaming video then youtube would have jumped all over it.

My sister got traced by HBO. HBO was nice a gave a warning. A friend got traced by a movie company.... They were not that nice. Still waiting to see how bad they get him. Both just watched the movie.

Netflix popup ads drive me nuts...for that reason alone I won't use them,I refuse to buy/rent from anyone who bugs me with unwanted ads over and over and over again.....

I remeber being a kid and recording songs from the radio...was that ilegal?

My mother-in-law has Netflix. At first it was great, but there are only so many movies you really want to see, so after awhile it became a hassle for her. She's sent back a lot of movies without even watching them.

Just install a good pop-up blocker!
