Hey y’all,

I just picked up two one week old chicks yesterday. As we where driving home I noticed one of them moving it’s head in a seemingly unintentional, repetitive, Parkinson like, tremor. Please advise on what this maybe and how to move forward. I have a video I can email if needed.

Thank you

How is the chick doing today? I am not incredibly familiar with wry neck, and have never experienced it in my flock but based on your brief description I am worried your chick could have it. A video could be helpful if you can upload it to Youtube and post the link on here.

Here is some info: https://www.raising-happy-chickens.com/wry-neck.html

You are right. I kept researching and watching YouTube videos. I ended up treating her with Vitamin E and Selenium a couple times yesterday and again this morning and afternoon. It’s as if nothing ever happened! Thanks for the reply.

Wow so glad you were able to get that resolved! Sorry someone didn't see this sooner.

Can you please tell me what brand and how much of the Vit E and Selenium you gave them? I have a couple Silkies with a head shaking type issue. One is worse than the other doing some type of strange swaying like?? I am beside myself with worry!! I'll attach a video to show what she's doing. The other chick isn't doing the swaying just the head shake. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
