We just returned from vacation and my girls look like they have a small tear in their combs. We had a house sitter that kept the water clean and fed them but knows even less about chickens then I do. Her job was really to stay with out 12 year old border collie who can't take the kennel. Back to the girls, there are a couple of spots of blood on the combs. Their hutch is heated and it rarely gets below freezing. The girls were hatched in mid August.

Question is: Are they just teenagers or show I take them to the vet?

Just keep an eye on them. As they begin to mature they will work out a pecking order. This sometimes results in small injuries like bloody combs and wattles. I do not think you have anything to worry about.

All my 5.5 week old roos have those marks on their combs. It's a sparring thing. They peck at the other roos combs.

I have a red light in the coop, so it doesn't seem to have gotten as bad as it did for your chicks.
