Never Again! Meyer Hatchery

My ees laid a blueish egg depends on the stock and what they use. Olive eggers should lay to a light olive to a darker shade and legbars suppose to lay blue shade

Geez! Over $300???? I am currently waiting on an order of 17 chicks from Meyer. Most of them were Blue Splash Maran (not the cheapest) and my entire order was under $120 (including shipping.) Trying to figure-out how any of your orders added-up to that high amount.

And I am with the others that say, it's a risk you take. Unless you've met the parents, you can't really know what you are getting. Even feed-store chicks carry this risk. (Might I add, they also come from hatcheries!) Also, ALL roos have the potential to be aggressive, especially if they are kept with other roos. Just the nature of the beast. ;-)

They have 8 that are $20+ pullets. Cream Legbars, Lavender Orpingtons, and Black Orpingtons in the order are some of the most pricey birds that they have.

Received my order today! All 18 chicks are alive, running around and eating. Better still. . . My "meal maker" is a buff orp AND they threw in an extra EE. Yay! So far, so good. :)
