When you go to the feed store, never take pity on the two CUTE little chickes that are in the 'Pan Fry Special' bin, and think that you *MAY* be lucky enough to get the only 2 hens in the bunch.....NEVER allow your mother to come with you to the feed store and let her pick up a chick from a random bin before establishing that the bin is full of PULLETS and not a pan fry special. She will fall in love with the lucky roo and make you buy him. Then, of course, you'll have to get a second one (this time a pullet) so that he's not lonely....I now have 14 roos....
