Never had this problem....but what are we???

I change my mind to Black Star. If you go on Murrayy Mcmurray hatchery and look at the chick pics they have white on the wings

1st pic, top bird # 44: could be a black australorp. If it is getting blacker with white on the wings and has black on the front of the legs that would be a definite indication.
 
The first one looks like our Australorps did when they were chicks. See the picture of my babies below. My guess for the first one would be Australorp. If it is, it will be nearly solid black when it starts getting feathers.

I thought this too, but look at beak color. Pat's chickens have yellow beaks with black nostrils. The australorps have black peaks with some splotches of yellow... IDK if this changes it. That was just my observation
