...but that's okay. I read this forum all the time so I figured I might as well sign up.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Travel, live music, parenting, farm life, cooking.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

Married father of five, with 2 dogs!

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D

I've been reading BYC for months and figured I'd finally join in and participate.

78 chickens!! What are your plans for all those chickies?

I have 6 poults and 17 chicks + 5 older chicks and I feel like that’s a lot of chicks. I can’t imagine caring for more than that at a time!

Welcome!

We plan to let them free range here. We have a lot of land here, and are working on getting more. They're like family to us, much like when people walk outside and their dogs follow them around - we're like that with our chickens, haha.

I love letting mine free range until they start laying eggs somewhere other than their nesting boxes. Then I get upset that I’m feeding them and getting nothing in return 😂

Right now they haven’t free ranged in 2 and a half months minus a day or two here and there. But I’m moving their coops and runs to a new location and will be letting them out daily once again. I just gotta find the perfect time right after a majority of them have laid their eggs for the day.
