So few weeks ago I accidentally left the seed bag open after the morning feeding and when I got back that evening I was panicked as I couldn't find half of my flock...then I noticed the bag.....found them!

Hah! Very funny. Are those pigeons, or doves? They appear to be ringneck doves, though i didnt think you could free fly them.

My birds will sneak in my shed I don't close it! There's lots of good food for them there.

they are tangerine doves and champagne doves,(ringneck) I they were all stuck in the bag, they got in and were full, but they couldn't get out......one of my favorite photos.
what do you mean by "free fly them"?
I mean like let them out and they fly out of the cage. I asked because it appeared as if the bag of food was out of their pen, but I might be wrong.

I have questions (by the way they're beautiful). How do you house your doves? Are they kept as pets, show, eggs? I've always loved Doves, but I don't know how to justify keeping them.
I've been a magician for over 25 years and long ago I performed with Doves but I kept them indoors in cages, now in the last 5 years I've added the birds back into my act but I couldn't keep them indoors so I built an outdoor aviary where they can fly around, nest, breed etc. I also use the space to train them and work with them in the stage apparatus.
I like this set up much better for me and the birds and I really enjoy spending time out in the aviary.
