How about doing both? after all...I've got two Muscovies, a turkey, a rooster, AND 14 laying hens...now I just want some Silkies!

I’m very close. Just need to pick a breed first. That is honestly you the hard part.

That's why I have 8, and they're all different breeds. Well, except the 2 Silkies, but I made sure they're different colors.

And I made a list of all the new breeds I'm going to add once I get to the new house - lol!

Hubby: Sure, you can get a few more chickens once we move.
Me: I promise I'll only get a couple dozen more.

AA, I started with five or six (forgot how many exactly) bantams long ago. Now I overwinter thirty to forty, and have more every summer. Currently a total of only 68!
