I’ve heard that some more “pure” ones don’t. Mine hatch and grow white feathers right away. Some people’s don’t grow them at allCayuga's are supposed to turn white as they age.
I've never heard of pure and impure cayugas (unless you're talking about mixes). I think almost all female Cayuga's will grow white feathers at some point in time. Some earlier than others. She’s beautiful! Most of my hens got white feathers right from hatch. The most white girl in my pictures is 2 years old.
