I know people will probably like string me up from the nearest tree... but theyre just chickens. whether its a church or a friend, or a stranger on the street, no one made those people (or anyone else) take home chicks, they should be allowed to decide if they want them or not and are prepared to care for them.

Its nothing worth losing your cool over. If you want them you should go get them. Theyre doing the decent thing to find them a good home. Other people will likely do the same.
