We have tons of clubs around us focused on showing so a friend and I are starting one for homeschoolers that is not focused on showing animals (they still can, that’s just not the main point). I believe our official theme with the county is “healthy living” so we came up with gardening, meat animals, self-sufficiency, maybe fishing, cooking healthy meals, being active (e.g., hiking), mental health support (this is very broad - could be things like flower arrangement from your garden to appreciate something beautiful), being in nature, DIY stuff, and down the road we will get into shooting sports.
If you’ve been in 4H and you remember an activity you thought was fun that fits into these categories, can you post it here? We want to make sure we have at least six months of activities planned for next year and we could sure use some new ideas! Thank you for anything you can think of.
