So we went to TSC on Saturday for dog food and a tire and now we have 5 1-week old bantams. I had never even held a chicken before Saturday and now I spend hours every day talking to these little fuzzy funny birds.
Obviously I know nothing so I am hoping to learn lots from this site and everyone here.

When I'm not a chicken mom I have two boys (15 & 11), two dogs (beagle and a golden retriever), one husband and I'm an accountant for a medical manufacturer. We live on a couple acres not far from Asheville NC.

LeviS X2! Follow these links to our learning center and raising baby chicks! Good reads on raising and keeping your babies healthy and happy.

And yes, TSC can be a dangerous place during chick season for those of us with soft hearts!

Great to have you aboard and enjoy your new babies!

Thank you everyone! I am really enjoying reading all the threads --- still trying to learn as much as possible. My birds are so much fun --- they are definitely showing different personalities.
