New here and new to chickens as of February 2014 when we got our first 4 chicks at a feed store. We have 7 chickens - our 4 Buff Orpingtons are 3 months old and our 3 Australorps are a little over 2 months old. Wow - do they grow fast!

Even though we thought we'd read and researched properly before we got the chicks, we learned we had even more questions and found BackYardChickens.com with answers.

I entertain my family and friends (and myself) with my blog. I love blogging. And gardening and chickies. And blogging about our chickies and garden and living in the country.

Where in florida do you live? My momma raises chickens and lives in Naples which is south florida. Congrats on your girls! Sounds like so much fun!!
 
I know where Naples is... we are quite a bit north of Naples... west of Ocala.
