Actually, thanks to the warm waters of the Pacific ocean and Japanese current, where I live in SE Alaska it's warmer than most of the country! Temps rarely get into the mid-teens and usually hover around or above freezing for most of the winter. Summers are cooler though. Rarely does it get in the upper 60's.
