VERY excited to build our own coop and get some chickens. A friend has some Golden Nuggets that she's raising and she's offered them to us in 4 weeks. Now we just need to get building. Especially interested in ideas to keep the coop safe from predators and any advice for keeping chickens in cold/wet climates!

! Pleased to have you with us! You can peruse various coop styles and designs in the link below. My only advice is use hardwarware cloth instead of chicken wire - at least around the perimeter and up from the ground 15" or so. Lots of folks use sand in the run to keep the mud at a minimum. hi, with my coop I have a 2 foot wide fence that stickes out and is burried about 3 inches under the ground to keep the digging pests out. It's way easier then digging stright down.
