(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Hello from Indiana! We’ve had them about a year and as with all our furry and feather babies what started as “All you have to do is get the eggs once a day” said my husband
. Has now turned into doing just about everything and they’ve definitely grown on me. 
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
15 hens and 1 rooster.
(3) What breeds do you have?
White Leghorns
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Almost everything except when one gets sick.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Anything outdoors, wood burning crafts.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I’m married to my middle school boyfriend. 5 kids, 7 human grand babies and many grand dogs and cats.
We have 5 rescue cats an acre pond to fish in and all this wonderful living on 18 acres almost in the middle of nowhere. I’m also a stay at home cat and chicken mom.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
