We have 5 Banty silkies, raised from day-olds, from McMurray Hatchery. Ours are very laid back, even the 2 boys. They started laying at 21 and a half weeks old and I've been getting an egg a day from all 3 girls, until last week when one decided to go broody. Put her in chicken jail for a few days, since we don't want her to hatch eggs now due to colder weather. I was pleasantly surprised that their eggs were bigger than I expected, for being Banties.

Thanks for the tips, now if we want chicks we have to keep the breeds seperated together with the same breed roosters or we'll have crosses, correct?
