(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I am brand new to chickens but I assisted my grandfather with his ducks, geese and bob white quail when I was in high school.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have 24 pullets scheduled for May 27th on their way from McMurray Hatchery.

(3) What breeds do you have? I ordered 6 black jersey giants, 6 speckled sussex, 6 buff orpingtons, and 6 easter eggers! All pullets.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? A yahoo search a few months ago and I have been obsessively reading posts and soaking up information ever since

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Cooking, taking care of kids and pets, reading, movies, wii, camping and my hubby likes to take me shooting but I don't really think of it as MY hobby.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I am a stay at home mom with two boys ages two and four. I have three dogs, a giant Yorkie, a springer/healer (my best girl), and a little foster chihuahua/long hair dachsund who will be going to his permanent home with my niece in VA next month. I also have a 55 gallon fish tank that is a little bare right now in anticipation of our move, and two cute guinea pigs that my son wanted so badly but now they are mommy's pets. We are currently moving from SW Wyoming to a small farm in Northern North Dakota. Chickens will be our first adventure in farming well those and possibly a tom turkey from BYC'er Frosty
