New and trying my best!

Glad to meet you. The Forums are a good place to look for information about almost anything. In those places, pay particular attention to the "Sticky Topics" which are items judged to be particularly useful. You can also look for articles on anything that might be useful. You can browse around, or use the SEARCH button at the top of your page.

Don't give up on getting your chicks to be more friendly. Keep spending time with them. When they get old enough for treats (most folks wait until they are 2 weeks, but it's not a hard and fast rule. You are waiting for their digestive systems to grow up a bit), you will become their best friend in the world! Be sure they have grit for a day before you start treats (grit, not oyster shell, sometimes called soluble grit). An easy first treat is just a clump of pesticide free grass with some dirt on it. They will be so excited (after they get over their alarm at the new thing).
