Happy to announce six healthy energetic new chicks this morning. Mostly from ameraucana eggs. I had a 50% rate since my Lucky was sitting on 11 eggs. All were fertile and most tried to hatch. A couple died at the 'beak out' stage--not sure why. I did remove carefully with tweezers some shell bits from a few as they seemed to have stopped for too long. This is our first time.
