New at quail

I'm new at quail too. I am picking up mine tomorrow. One male and three females. We will be learning together. Good luck!

Just wait till you get some eggs. I went crazy trying to hatch some of mine. Of course, about 99% failed. But we got two babies, and that was worth it

i have hatched plenty of quail. out of 150 eggs i got 137 and my brooder wasnt big enough so i had to build a huge brooder so now i hatch other peoples eggs for 1.00 per egg and when they hatch .50 per chick

This business model intrigues me! I need an excuse for buying higher priced/capacity bators. Hope you don't mind a PM

To the OP... Yes, coturnix are addictive!

Given the proper diet, light, etc... 6 hens and 2 roos should give you around 6 eggs a day. Hatch 2 days of eggs, then it's 10-12 more, and so on, and so on.

I've done chickens, but what kind of brooder do quail like/need? How much space? How long does it take to be ready to go outdoors?
