Hello everyone,
I started raising chickens a year ago with 2 Hy-line brown hybrid chickens I purchased from a breeder .
Since then I have taken an interest in keeping other types of chicken breeds that are not production chickens, and 2 months ago purchased 4 baby
Barnevelder. It has been a great learning experience for me, but after reading so much information on this forum, I am afraid they are all roosters.
They are such a lovely breed, it's a shame if they all turn out to be rooster, because my area does not permit it.
I have decided, that even if they are.... I will search for some pullets of this breed and re-home the roosters.
I also love gardening. I like growing herbs and some vegetables. I noticed that the hens love kale and the egg yolks their eggs are so tasty and orange.
Thank for all the information the members of this forum provides for newbies like me.

Have a great day.

Why cant people just allow roosters!:he Sorry to hear.
