5eggs so far from two breeds. The nest is exposed and we are getting ready for the n'oreaster. Should we protect the nest? I dont think they are done laying.

You need to get them set up in a secure place not only from the elements but also from predators. They may not like it but it's for their own safety... AND

Thank u. We just got done buildin a sort of leanto. We keep them in our fenced yard every night. They actually come up from the lake like clockwork every day before dusk.
