New at This and Believe I've Screwed Up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Charlie. Greetings from Kentucky! How long were the chickens in the coop before they were turned loose? Chickens should be coop confined for a period of around two weeks before they are let outdoors. Once they are then turned out they will know where home is before dark and always go back inside to roost. I think at this point they just don't know where home is. As others have suggested you might try food to get them back up. You might even have to wait until dark then get them out of the trees and back into the coop. Best of luck to you. Chickens are wonderful animals to have around and bring many hours of enjoyment..
