new at this from OHIO

Hello, everybody!
My name is Ginger. Im somewhat new at this. We had chickens as a child. I Don't know what they were. mostly bantams I think.
Right now I have 4 chickens 2hens and 2 rosters not sure what 3 of them are exept that they are bantams. the other looks like an americana. I borrowed them from my mom to put in my garden (before planting) and give them back when they ate all they could and prepared the ground for tilling. Now I would like to start my own flock that I can keep. Eventualy 1-2 dozen Araucana hens and 1 or 2 cocks would be good. Not looking for bantams. Looking for good quality BLUE eggs. The americana lays green. Not looking to show them so they don't have to look PURFECT but I do want the real deal. You would not believe what people are trying to pass off as an Araucana.

Welcome! I am new to the boards also. I've got 9 chicks right now who are rapidly outgrowing their accomodations and trying to finalize plans for a coop that needs to be built in the next few weeks. Yep, got the chicks before a coop.
