We have 6 new babies in our house! As sad as I am to say that we lost 4 hens two weeks ago to a weasel, I excited to start the journey again.
I went with a mix of 2 Americana’s, 2 Buff Orginton’s and 2 Bared Rock crosses. (I know my spelling is off, on my mobile)
Anyway, I asked the woman that helped me at TSC about the heating pad and whether anyone uses it as a replacement for a lamp and she said yes. So we’re trying it but the babies look a little chilly, huddled together.
What do you think? Anyone use this pad alone?

Babies are really active if they are warm enough they dont sleep much unless it's dark looks like they need more warmth fast so they can run around and eat and grow make sure they have a place without heat too

They are running around now :). It was just nap time after their big move.
I’ll keep an eye on their movement this afternoon. I also moved the shavings off the pad.
