This little baby just hatched this evening for me. I ordered eggs from Seramaland2, and put them in the incubator 16 days ago.

Congratulation!!! There's nothing more exciting than seeing baby buttons hatch!!! I've hatched hundreds of buttons and I have to say that everytine I see a little baby button, I get as excited as I was with my very first one!!!

I feel kinda bad for the little guy. He's the only one hatched so far and he's peeping away in the incubator looking for mamma.

I don't have a mamma for him. Is there anything I can do to comfort him in the meantime?

aw "he's" so sweet! I too am awaiting little quaillies! I cant wait for some little bumblebees! I dont know what to tell you to do to comfort him, I am amazed he hatched at 16 days it may be another day before you get more. hmmm I am not sure what to tell you there, good luck on the rest of em! I am on day 19 still waitin for the BW to hatch the buttons just went in 2 days ago tho

Um, is he dry yet? If so you could take him out and hold him. Or put a stuffed animal in his brooder, I've heard that works. If I have just one little lonley chick then I just carry it around and love it all day! But then it always bonds with me ...

Once I had just one chick that hatch out of my incubator, and it bonded with my baby bunny! It was SO CUTE!!! LOL

Well I would take him out and carry him around, but I'm worried that he'll catch a chill at 75 degrees in my house. I showed him to my Serama hen, but she wasn't interested. I didn't think she would be as she's not broody right now anyways. I figured it was worth a try.
