Sheesh! That's what I was afraid of! But the lady at TSC seemed so confident, I trusted her. Oh, well. I guess RSL & BSL wouldn't be so bad, but I did want a Black Australorp. EE would probably be OK, too. My main concern is that they will lay pretty well and be calm & docile, since I'm new at this. Here are a couple more pix, showing the yellow baby's face better.

I don't *think* the yellow chick is getting any red on its wing feathers -- there are a few little spots of brownish-red, but I think it's just dirt, but then again, it doesn't really seem to scrape off.

Any chance the yellow one is a Buff Orpington?
