Here are my new 4 day old chicks from Meyer Hatcheries.

This is an EE pullet. My daughter named her Alice (from Twilight, of course)

Here's Alice again with one of the fluffy cheeked Salmon Faverolles.

Here is another shot of the puffballs. I love how the SFs all look like they are smiling at you.

I can't believe how tiny they are. I have 9 other 12 week olds and they look HUGE now compared to these. I love the five toes on the SF babies. My husband thought they were all deformed!

I had to explain it to him. He doesn't like chickens

but I notice he comes in and checks on their progress every day when he gets home from work. :lol:He also did a fantastic job on my coop and wanted to know if I was going to put pictures of it on BYC (posted in coop section).
Now we can watch "chicken tv" in the house (again) as well as out at the coop!

AWWW, they are so cute. Thats where i get my chicks from, Meyers. I just love their chicks. I have some that are 13 weeks old and they look wonderful. The EE's aka ameraucans are so awesome. You will be glad you took pictures of them as babies, you wont believe how much the EEs will change. Its so neat to see how they grow up. Here is a couple of my EEs from Meyers.
Keep taking pictures and posting the changes of your chicks. It so exciting to see the changes in them. I want to see what your girls look like as they grow. Meyers get 2 tumbs up from me.

This is Sunflower, we loved the yellow around her neck, it reminded us of a sunflower. All these girls are 9 weeks old in these pictures.

OMG they are all so cute! I just got our first chicks too. I love your rumpless. I hope mine turn out so pretty.

I'm glad to hear good things of Meyer's. I have 5 17-wk pullets coming from them mid-July.

What pretty babies! Ging3r, yours have grown into pretty hens! I especially love the Miss Blackbeard and Wild Thing, lol.

I enjoy hearing what kind of experiences people are having with which hatchery.

did you get any extra chick's with your order??? Did they come well packed?? I have an order of 4 white silkies, 1 pullet Welsummer, 1 pullet GLW, 1 GL Polish, and 1 Buff Polish that are due at my post office on the 17th from Meyer's. Im sooooooooooo excited and wanted to know how everything went for you. I would love a PM if you had the time.

I called my post office a day in advance and let them know that i wanted them to call me the minute they arrived. They called me at 3:30 am.

They didnt send me an extra chick, i think they do that with their feb and march orders because of the needed extra warmth. They had a little heat pack in the box and a little blue pack which was some kind of food for them.

I had their heat lamp on and ready a day in advance and kept checking the temp. I put electrolite vitamins and some sugar or honey in their water to sweeten it a bit and to give them some energy to perk them up. I even grind up their chick starter because i think they struggle to eat them.

Let me know if you have any questions that i can help you with. You are just going to love those babies.

I have 10 black stars that are 2 weeks old from Meyer's. At this point I have not lost any. I plan on using Meyer Hatchery for all of my chick needs.
